2. Firebase Data Storage

Pawsona uses Google Firebase (Firestore) to store anonymised quiz results for platform improvement purposes. When a quiz is completed, the following may be stored in Firebase:

• The four-letter personality type result (e.g. “OAFR”)
• The pet’s breed code (not the pet’s name)
• A randomly generated session identifier (not linked to any personal identity)
• Quiz completion timestamp

Pet photos are never sent to Firebase. They are stored exclusively in your browser’s sessionStorage and are deleted automatically when you close the browser tab.

Firebase is operated by Google LLC and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and data processing terms. Data stored in Firebase may be located on Google’s global server infrastructure.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics collects data through cookies and assigns anonymised identifiers to analyse usage patterns. The information collected includes:

• Pages viewed and navigation paths
• Session duration and bounce rate
• Geographic region (country/city level)

• Custom events (quiz starts, quiz completions, result shares)

Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. We have enabled IP anonymisation to reduce the precision of location data collected.

Pet photos stored in your browser’s sessionStorage are automatically deleted when you close or refresh your browser tab. They are never transmitted to Pawsona’s servers.
